Recently published in The Archaeologist issue 96 (p.9-11) is the latest annual analysis of published job advertisements in British archaeology, written by Doug Rocks-Macqueen, Landward Research Ltd’s Director of Analysis, Research and Technology.
Key points from the 2014-15 report include:
- More supervisor and senior posts were advertised than in any year since data collection began in 1993-94.
- More technician-level jobs were advertised than in any year since 1999-2000
- A significant number of trainee posts were advertised
- Overall, advertised wages rose slightly
